Growing in Gratitude
Why a Daily Practice Can Change Everything + Seven Journaling Prompts to Help You Grow in Gratitude & Cultivate Contentment
We all know gratitude is important, but actually making it a daily habit can sometimes feel elusive. For the last few years, I've had a gratitude practice on and off, and I’ve always noticed a difference when I'm consistently chronicling my gratitude. On the days when I make space to capture even the smallest moments of gratitude, I feel more grounded, content, and fulfilled. It’s a powerful reminder that contentment doesn’t just happen to us; it’s something we can cultivate with intention.
There’s research backing up these benefits too. Studies show that practicing gratitude can reduce stress, increase feelings of happiness, and improve mental health overall. By shifting our focus from what we lack to what we have, we can break free from the constant pull of comparison and discontentment. Gratitude teaches us to pause, look around, and appreciate the gifts that God has given us each day.
If you're looking to build or deepen your gratitude practice, I’d love for you to journal along with me this week. Below, I’ve shared a curated list of journaling prompts that can help you cultivate gratitude and contentment. These prompts are designed to encourage reflection, offer perspective, and inspire meaningful action.
