This past Wednesday, I was sitting down with my best friend at dinner. It was my 30th birthday and naturally, I was reflective and tender with emotion — grief and gratitude specifically. On one hand, I am grateful to have arrived at this beautiful milestone, but on the other hand, I can’t help but feel the sadness and uncertainty that sometimes comes with ending a chapter and starting the next.
