30 Over 30 | A Limited Podcast Series | Pt 3
On Pursuing Purpose, Becoming Free of Me, & Finding Happiness & Contentment in the Here & Now
Welcome back to the last installment of the 30 Over 30 limited podcast series. If you’re just tuning in, I turned 30 back in October, and to celebrate, I’ve been sharing 30 lessons that I’ve learned over the last 30 years. You can check out parts 1 & 2 below.
Today, I’m sharing lessons 21-30. 💫 I found myself unexpectedly getting emotional at the end of this recording. I guess because so much of my future feels so unknown and uncertain… and that scares me. If you had told me that 30-year-old me would have a toddler and a set of twins, and be a stay-at-home mom, I probably would’ve laughed in disbelief, politely rebuked you, telling you to take several seats (🤚🏾👉🏾🪑). No way in a million years did I ever think this would be my life. But this is my life.
I am a stay-at-home mom, pursuing purpose and presence in the margins of the messy middle, learning how to find meaning in the mundane while surrendering my plans and dreams. Dreams that I honestly wonder will ever come true. I have no idea how this story will end, let alone the details of the next chapter. But with hopeful anticipation, I turn the next page.
Thank you for listening to the limited 30 Over 30 podcast series! I mentioned in the previous posts in this series that I’m considering making the podcast a permanent part of this Substack. I would love your feedback! Please answer the poll below and if interested, leave me a comment with your topic suggestions.
