I’m ready for it too, but I can’t bring myself to read it until the summer 😂. I told myself that I will probably purchase both her book and Emily Henry’s new book next.
I think I'll do the same! Also looking forward to Emily Henry's new book too. Have you read and of Tia Williams' books? Her latest book she released a few months ago was really good too. I could talk about romance book recommendations all day!
I haven’t read any of her books yet, but I’ve been hearing about them a lot on BookTube. Her and Kennedy Ryan. Both of their books are on my summer TBR!
“While goals are helpful, they are not my living water. While I can romanticize my life and strive to make the most of my year, I will always want more. More than what this earth could ever provide. Rather than trying to manifest or wield what I want into existence, like Emily, I want to lift my eyes to see the work that God is doing, admiring the beautifully complex growth that is budding before me, fully knowing and believing that it is good.”
I try to remind myself that the present is a gift even if it’s mind numbing hard. And that God is doing something in me, through me, for me. I just need to see it.
"While goals are helpful, they are not my living water." Wow. Everything following the quotes you shared really resonated with me and, I'm sure, many others. Thank you for sharing, Janelle.
Thank you for commenting and being here, Kayla! I started following you back in 2016 and have enjoyed seeing your evolution online. I think many of us who started and were growing our businesses back then are burned out from hustle culture and are craving a slower way of working and living where we don't have to strive and prove. I'm thankful that we are on this journey together!
Wow, that gives me such great joy! We will need to connect more often. I LOVE what you're creating with your newsletter, and I relate deeply with your journey. A slower way is the best way.
She's one of my fave romance authors - I've got one of Kennedy Ryan's books but havent read it yet. So many TBR's!! X
Fellow Abby Jiminez fan here! I've got her latest book waiting for me in my Kindle, can't wait to read it.

Yes to it being mind-numbing hard I find that I want to check out sometimes and honestly give up, but that’s when I have to recenter my focus.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. I’m so glad we’ve connected in this space! 💛
