Love the water table idea! Anything that buys some reading time sounds good, haha. Have you tried making "oobleck"? It's just cornstarch and water and my kids love it!

I have not heard of this oobleck! But I do have cornstarch on hand. I might have to try this!

I remind myself that God can see all things about every situation, and he will always do what is best for me. I know when we get to heaven and all things are revealed we will be surprised what God has protected us from physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Yes, that's so true!

Wishing you the best with your potential career opportunity! Lately, going to the Splash Pad has brought so much joy to me and my 7-month old. I take her to a Splash Pad that I grew up going to and it’s been fulfilling in so many ways!

Thank you! And that is so sweet! I’ve been thinking about taking the kids to a splash pad near us, but I’m afraid to brave it all alone with all three 😅 I feel like I need to have a plan of attack before I attempt lol.

Oh boy taking three sounds does sound like quite the challenge! I have a friend with four kiddos and we all went together. Perhaps you can make it an outing with a fellow mama! 😉

I was thinking that too! The more hands, the better! 😂

Keeping my fingers crossed for you and your new career opportunity Janelle. Water play is always a winner isn't it, it is amazing how long kids can play with water and a few cups - the simple things are the best. I always enjoy reading your book recommendations - I just looked up 'Love and Other Words' and realised it's a Christina Lauren book - I just finished 'A Paradise Problem' by Christina Lauren and loved it. I haven't read a book of theirs that I didn't like yet (it's 2 authors that go under one name I found out!). Love and Other Words sounds right up my street, looking forward to reading it. Also glad your kids are sleeping better too, it is so tough when you are in the middle of a bad sleep run - my youngest has had 2 nights of good sleep after a month of bad sleep, long may the good sleep continue hey!! xx

Yes, fingers crossed it will work out! But yes! I need to look up some more water play activities -- enough to rotate and keep them busy throughout the week! lol I heard good things about the Paradise Problem! I believe it is on Kindle Unlimited as well. It was my first time reading a full length novel by the duo. I'm interested in reading their other work now. Maybe I'll try to read the Paradise Problem before the summer is up. I'm glad your youngest is sleeping better too. Life is easier and happier when those babies SLEEP! 🤣

That's a good idea, always good to have some different ideas up your sleeve - I've been making a list of activities my kids can do over the summer holidays to combat the boredom, will be interesting to see if it works or if they say that my ideas are also boring!! Enjoy the other Christina Lauren books if you read them - The Soulmate Equation is a good one. Gosh yes it is, that's all we want, a little bit more sleep, is it too much to ask?!! My youngest lasted like 2 days before his sleep went bad again, oh well!! Hope you guys have had a good week x
