Yes! It's the only time of day when the weather feels bearable! I'm considering getting outside while it's still dark before the sun rises, so I can feel some essence of fall. It probably won't start cooling down here until mid to end October early November.
Hope things settle down for you soon Janelle, being in limbo is really difficult ❤️. Glad you got some time for you this week, solo coffee and a book shop, my ideal day! I'm also reading This Could Be Us, nearly finished it. I loved Before I Let Go so was so happy to realise it was a series. Also I didn't know Sweet Magnolias was based on the books, so I'm going to need to dive into those too - so many books, so little time!! Reading A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston - halfway through, have you read it? X
Yes, I'm praying things settle down soon. Transitions are always tough, but coffee and new books make them better! lol. I was not prepared for how much I enjoyed This Could Be Us! I relate to Soledad with her work as a stay-at-home mom. So much of what we do as moms revolve around the kids and the home. I love watching how she stepped up to plate given all the personal devastation she was facing. I hope her story is included the tv series they are piloting! But yes, definitely consider reading the Sweet Magnolias series, it is VERY different than the show, but you can tell which parts the show pulled inspiration from. I am enjoying reading it, noting the differences. I haven't read A Novel Story yet, but I was reading the back of it while I was at Barnes. I added it to my Goodreads list!
Oh yes, coffee and new books definitely makes things better! I loved Soledad too, how she took charge of her life and how she was all about getting to know herself and love herself too. Very much looking forward to reading Hendrix's story in the book that's out in 2025, she's such a good character, tells it like it is! Oh a tv series, I didn't realise, excited for that! I'll definitely have to read the Sweet Magnolias books. A Novel Love Story is good, it's got a bit of the magical realism (I think that's what it's called) that A Love Song for Ricki Wilde had in it too. I've bought so many Kindle books lately, my only problem is not finding the time to read them, over-ambitious reader as always - oh well, rather have too many books than not enough!!
Yes, Hendrix is a hot mess! I can’t wait to read her story 😂 I think I will like A Novel Story from what I was reading. I liked The Good Part by Sophie Cousens and The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie by Rachel Linden and those both have magical realism in it. I might plan to read it this fall!
I’m in the same place. Just trying to trust God
Yes, I feel like we are all in that place of waiting and trusting. It's a hard but sanctifying place to be in.
🙌🏿 So hard but worth it. I have to keep telling myself that.
We are in NC and have been enjoying the relatively “cool” early mornings as well!!
