A solo coffee date is one of my favs! I love seeking out a new coffee shop. One day I found a new coffee shop that also had house made kombucha (heaven)! And then I discovered a huge used book store across the street. Double awesomeness!
It sounds like I need to visit this coffee shop! I love kombucha! There's also a bookstore across the street from the one I go to. I love the days I have time to go to both. You have me looking forward to the next one. 😂
These people who own the book stores must be picking the right spots based on coffee shop locations ha! Although… if I owned a book shop, I am quite sure I would want a coffee shop within.
It’s funny because the owner of the coffee shop is the same owner of the bookstore across the street, and I wondered why they didn’t just integrate them. Haha!
This is such a good read! I love talking about books and I’ve been wanting to read Before I Let Go! Also, thank you for introducing me to Fable.
Im currently reading Cicely Tyson’s memoir (amazing) and listening to Thank You For Listening on audible (it’s okay).
Also, summer reading is great! I remember it as a kid and it’s amazing to pass down the tradition. Have you checked out children’s podcasts yet? I found a really great storytime podcast great for kids and it gives me a few minutes of quiet. It’s in my latest post.
Yes! Me and my sister just got finished reading Before I Let Go on Fable! I love it because you can create milestones that will break up the chapters and each chapter has a dedicated thread where you can discuss the book and share pictures and quotes. We have been having a time on there cutting up 😂
I've heard good things about Cicely Tyson's memoir! I'm going to have to check it out, along with the podcasts you shared. We listen to a few on Spotify now, but I'm always looking to add to my rotation.
Such a cute shirt (the book one)!! I am also trying to rebuild my wardrobe postpartum and have no idea what to buy. I will have to check out that Abby Jimenez book - I just read Yours Truly and loved it!
I was literally on FaceTime with my husband while I was shopping, asking him where I should start because I literally need everything 😂 I’m like do I start with bottoms so I know what tops to buy or should I start with tops? I have no idea 🤷🏽♀️ But definitely check out Just for the Summer! It was a little slow for me at first, but once it picked up, I was completely in it. I also love how Abby casually slid in characters from books 1 and 2. It’s sooo good!
I love the joy recap because it allows me a chance to focus on all the good that happened this week instead of the chaos of life.
Yessss. It's almost been like a gratitude practice for me. I think that's why I will continue it.

Went camping with my kids this weekend and celebrated Father's Day with my husband. 🏕

Just put it on hold at the library!! And I am with you on the postpartum shopping confusion… it can be so overwhelming!
